Shaw is said to be in 8-9 episodes of the 13 renewal. Normally 20+ a season the network will wait for fifth season reception to confirm sixth season or possible projects. Meaning it most likely is last season but could be a spinoff or less episodes per season to even a tv movie/miniseries event.

Shaw and Root are said to have a happy ever after in the episode "Return 0"

I am skeptical until it airs what that means. It could be a real world or dream like thing. Maybe even something else. I added my skepticism on my comment on my comment. I hope it ends happily but I would totally be okay with it not. My top all time top fave shows have major char acters deaths and unhappy endings.

Forgot add this means she comes in late or is a flashback ghost like Det. Carter or dies/leaves befor season/series finale. Tvline got jjabrams saying this most likely to be series finale but fsns will be happy. Shaw actor was injured and then got pregnant which lead to her abscence besides being a plot point. Lastly june 19 is the last day of spring and tv exec quoted as saying it will air springtime. Not know if early spring but it was in response to midseason or later premiere.
