Is what you're writing always true, or do they expect you to invent details to embellish the story?

They do yellow journalism to help catch a readers eye and make them want to buy what they are selling. So basically the truth with a little stretch

If the people reading it don't know you're stretching the truth then that could be a problem if they believe what they read.

I knew you weren't talking about anyone specific since you were just giving an example of what yellow journalism might be. But it can't hurt to be careful I guess. :)
