He is a citizen of the United States, but good try.

He maintained dual citizenship his whole life, only renounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014 because it would be unbecoming of a presidential candidate.

Exactly. He is eligible.

This quote from an article states that a president must:
"be a natural born U.S. citizen. Someone may be born abroad, but only if both parents were citizens of the United States."

That is incorrect. Only one parent must be born in the country. This is why Barack Obama was eligible. Only one of his parents were born here. Also the fact he was born in Hawaii. But as long as one parent is a citizen born here, he does not have to have been born in the States.

Also, CNN, one of the most liberal main stream media outlets already fact checked and found him to be legal.

CNN is just a news channel. I'm just saying there is dispute over the eligibility and interpretation of the requirements as experts disagree, not just news channels. Obama's situation doesn't need both parents because he was born within the United States. Cruz is unique because he was not, and may not be considered natural born under a court ruling.
