I think I like the meme because it made me try to think about what he was actually saying, and the idea of not being sure about what he meant fits well with the Matrix theme.

I just saw this movie for the first time today, and I was watching for "what if I told you" the entire time. It wasn't there, but I noticed the image for this template as soon as it came on screen,

Nope, nothing to do with The Matrix, just my reaction to losing count.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just say "What if I told you that "what if I told you" was never said in the movie"?
