I always wondered why they won't let people randomly deposit into my account..

How do we know if random people were trying to make random deposits into random accounts, namely ours, but couldnt because of a stupid rule. We could have money. F**k I think we're gettin screwed.

When I was younger we were at our small town bank and I heard an older man ask them if a person by the name of 'blah blah' had an account there.
They said yeah, why? (Which they can't even say that anymore I don't think)
He said oh good, I want to make a deposit. And they let him. I've always wondered if it was a family member or if it was a random good deed.

Prolly a family thing. College or somethin. Some of the credit unions round here wont even change you rolls of change for cash if you dont have an account. Thats not cool. Especially if you're broke. Banks suck now.

Because the bank probably charges fees for returned deposits and has to report any counterfeit bills they receive. You don't want to get in trouble for something someone else does to your account.

Oh, that makes sense. But still annoying about the electric company.

Or pay my electric bill!! Why does the electric company protect my privacy by only allowing me to pay??? Stupid just stupid.
