About the only similarities I see between Tony and bats are wealth and gadgets. And even the gadgets are sourced differently. Tony actually builds his own gadgets, while Bruce gets his from Wayne Industries. Tony's fight didn't occur until he was an adult, with an attack on his person via his heart. Bruce chose his path as a young boy, sparked by the murder of his parents. He spent the next 15-20 years preparing for his future role.
