An Army specialist or Marine LCpl that spent a 4 year hitch at Benning or 29 Palms filling out supply requisitions? Still more of a hero than the 99% that don't serve because anyone willing to raise their right hand and take the oath in war time, with this CinC, is a hero to me.

Good point, what I'm talking about is politicians using the word hero to distract us from the fact that Americas men and women defenders, are being put in harms way for political reasons, not freedom. "heroes'" are being unnecessarily manufactured by the DC war machine.
