Welcome to the beginning of the end

Correctumundo! The last of the dying breed gets sucked into the PC vortex! How the f**k will coed MARINE CORPS BOOTCAMP F**KING WORK? Not a chance in hell that it will ever be the same. Decisions made by a bunch of limp dick dogooders that never served a day in uniform!

My second MOS fell victim to the PC gender neutral stuff as far back as the 90s. After I was an 03, I became a Radar Repairman, which later got changed to Radar Repairer. Blech.

On a brighter note, I got to visit Marine Barracks 8th & I this week. Something that I've wanted to do for over 33 years! It was awesome!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Myself...the Corps still own me, I'm an NCO, and a proud 03. I'm directly impacted by what is going on, and see first hand how much these PC bullshit civilians have their heads shoved so far up each others asses its just blind leading stumbling blind.

I say we send them though bootcamp, old Corps style, and then through ITB, then at least 9 months in the fleet or a deployment. IF, and only IF, they survive all of that, will I consider them maybe qualified to have an opinion.

You just missed one of my buddies who was stationed at 8th and I, I've never had a chance to go there myself. The #1 place I'm looking forward to going to is the Iwo Jima memorial.

I'll be back later, for the first time in my life, I find myself writing letters to my congressman, and the presidential candidates.

Regarding your last paragraph, I will join you in writing letters. My Congessman was a Marine Officer.

I was in DC this week for business at the Navy Yard and 8th & I is only a few blocks from there. I'm working in Arlington the week after next, not far from the monument, so I will check that out for sure. I saw it when I was in 8th grade, but I am sure that it will be much more impactful now.

That's actually a great take on it! Perhaps instead of dragging down male training, it will elevate female training? Slim chance of that, and I think that the consequences of this experiment will result in dead Marines, I still hope for the best.

All that being said, I still firmly believe that combat arms should be male only in all branches. Kill people and break things is the mission. Not even all male Marines can hack it in the combat arms. As I said before, I started out as an 03, but that was in the Reserves. When I transitioned to Active Duty, I made a lateral move because I knew that I probably wouldn't cut it doing it day in and day out. Those that are combat arms had and have my utmost respect for their professionalism, skill, and tactical knowledge.

Also, please don't think that I'm anit-female Marines. 90% of those that I served with were awesome in the MOS's that they were assigned to. (Every group has their 10%.) Females just don't belong in combat arms.

I am an Army vet-served in the Gulf in '91. I saw this softening up start happening around '93-94. Sickened me then, sickens me now. My father was Marine Recon during Vietnam, and I am sure he would hate the direction this is going as well!
