aw cheers dude. referring to the conundrum of overly zealous forum mods that berate you for starting a new thread on something previously discussed while suffering the overly zealous community that attacks you for necro'ing an abandoned thread. whether necro refers to necromancy or necrophilia, i really couldn't say, but the silly principal that you shouldn't post on old content

lol say you go to Bob's PC Problems message board and start a topic on why your keyboard isn't working properly. the angry moderator replies saying that you shouldn't be starting new topics when the problem has been discussed previously. you search harder and find said discussion from 16 months ago, but it doesn't cover everything regarding your issue and you reply to the thread. then the people of the message board realise you've resurrected this abandoned thread and chastise you.

and this kinda very unhelpful attitude is brought to you by the people that can only answer "google it" to a question. i get that google is basically the internet and should have most answers you seek, but some people just like talking about something, people learn in different ways, info can be outdated.
