because it's unnecessary to point out, not everyone has seen everything and it ruins it for people. also, most of the time they just say repost without giving any evidence to support their argument

plus, where there's one, there's usually more, and having more than one person state that's it is a repost, is itself just reposting.

not necessarily bad, but to make a post simply to point out that it's been done before is kinda petty

I see you like judging and labeling because someone tries to see things differently. All I'm saying is you're getting bent out of shape by saying someone shouldn't be bent out of shape. Kind of hypocritical.

If you apply that standard universally ("bent out of shape saying someone shouldn't be bent out of shape"), then we're all hypocrites to some degree, so it doesn't mean much. It also applies to your position. When people call out repost whiners, you have the option of ignoring it too.

Moshii was just answering the question you posed, and wouldn't have necessarily said anything if you hadn't asked it - so it's not really reasonable to act like Moshii brought up the issue.

I still don't see the demonization reaction to someone calling out a repost. So lets just agree to disagree.

There's no such thing as a "joke thief." By retelling the joke, you're appreciating it, and allowing others to appreciate it too. You're not taking anything away from the person who told it.
