How long before SW becomes an animated cartoon... ?

Well, it already has. Droids, Ewoks, Clone Wars, Clone Wars(3d), and Rebels. lol Unless you just meant the main films. :{

Actually, they saved Star Wars from its original creator. This last movie was far better than the last three.

They took an already successful franchise, distilled a formula from it, copied episode 4 to the tee, hyped it up as if it was something new, robbed people of SW 3 most appealing characters by making them look like f**k ups, didn't pay enough attention to what was already established which resulted in continuity errors and negating the OT's overall story/character arcs.

Just because it made money, doesn't mean it's any good. You are entitled to opinions, even if they're unreasonable.

And what do you mean "saved" it? It never needed saving. The prequel bashing is just a crowd mentality group bashing of Lucas and HIS artistic/intellectual property.

And at least the Prequels weren't carbon copies of A New Hope. If you didn't like them, then you don't like SW. The prequels are what Lucas wanted them to be, not what people wanted them to be. :{

Yeah, because Lucas was shorthanded on the original three, episodes IV-VI. The original three were released without his full cooperation and were not his original ideas. They were GOOD. He finally gets his full "creative" power and makes episodes I-III, which were royal eff-ups. His character creations were terrible, especially Jar Jar Binks, which he had to eventually trash in episode II because too many complaints and the fact it was a terrible character.

And let's not forget how badly he destroyed the original episodes by tweaking and re-tweaking. They may be his original ideas, but doesn't mean they're any good. And this is evidence with episodes I-III.

And fans are obviously getting what they want or it would't be making any money. As a writer and Director of movie scripts you make what people want, not what you want. This is evident with M. Night Shyamalan. He started making movies that were good, because he wrote them with the audience in mind. Then he fell short in his later movies because he thought he was a genius story teller and wrote scripts with him in mind and said, "screw you" to his fans.

Again no.

You're saying his prequels weer f**k ups. That's the point. The prequels ARE what LUCAS wanted. And that means that they are what STAR WARS.

Lucas never made SW to make fans happy or to appeal to everyone. He made them to get people to think about their own spirituality. He's a Methodist Buddhist and he wants atheists and non spiritual people to find God essentially.

And as for Jar Jar, you should watch those videos on youtube that show how Jar Jar was going to be a betrayer originally. It really makes his character necessary. He's being mind controlled by Palpatine more than likely. Beware a man that fakes a limp(or in Jar Jar's case, who acts a fool).

And again, you're saying he messed up the OT with the SE. Fans loved it and the prequels. And Lucas made it that way. It's how it is. If you don't like it you must not be a fan. For you to say you like SW but only like the non SE OT and this new one is ridiculous and unreasonable. You must only like explosions, fast paced dialogues, and A New Hope if you liked TFA.

No, fans are being screwed over and not given two shits about with Disney's SW.

It only made money because of the hype. If they had let people see more of what they were going with/had been honest, they wouldn't have succeeded. They tricked fans into going, and conditioned people like you to see it multiple times as if you were apart of the OT's original release.

HW makes "blockbusters". And that's why TFA is so shitty. It has the HW treatment instead of the Lucas treatment. It's jsut a copy of his talent and rides on his curtails for any success they achieve with it.

It's like selling prints of the Mona Lisa and claiming they're better than Da'Vinci's original painting. Or that because you sold the prints and made some money off it, that you somehow saved the artist's work. ROFL! ROFL! Indeed!

And no. Shyamalan's films are all garbage. They all rely on the plot twist. Which is probably where Disney got their idea for TFA's twists.
