this was in response to a lot of images i'm seeing PETA throw around about how brutal and cruel sheep shearing is. It's the same as a hair cut. When I go to the salon, I'm not getting scalped, and sheep aren't being skinned alive as they claim.

ah haven't seen those articles. sheep shearing CAN be moderately cruel in that farmers won't be very thoughtful regarding the sheep. i knew a shearer who refused to work during certain times because of the distress it can cause the lambs. but it doesn't hurt, it isn't barbaric
