How was he #12?

There's a top users leaderboard too (from #1 to #100), not just a weekly one.

I was #12 before I was #11. :)

Because the top 100 leaderboard existed before I signed up to imgflip, I had to go up through every place to get to #1. That's just how it works.

I'm not sure why bull3131 remembers me at the #12 spot more than another number. Maybe he/she's been absent from imgflip for a while, and that's the spot I was at before he/she left. Or maybe he/she meant to type #2 instead? I was in the #2 spot for longer than I was in the #12 spot. But I'm not sure.

You were #12 when I joined a couple months ago. I just remember you then because everybody on imgflip loved you because you were just a nice guy who made good memes. :)

I just remember how you made your way to the top one by one.

When I was new to imgflip, I read all these rumors about how people on the leaderboard stay up top because they have lots of alts etc.

So I just figured, when I was going up, that one day all the "alts" would start downvoting me to bring me back down and I wouldn't go any higher. But they never did.

What do you mean by "alt"?

The rumors were to the effect that people at the top of leaderboard made alternate accounts (or fake accounts) to upvote their own memes.

That's why I figured I would be downvoted more the higher I went up. But I think that the rumors weren't true (or they were overstated).
