I left in 78,... after being in the mine,.. came back,... rehired,.. then said "f#ck this",.. left in 80 again to the states to join the Army. I wonder if I know your mom? He may know a 2nd cousin of mine who was a millwright I think,.. he retired from IOC, .. Bern Stratton. I have another buddy whom retired,.. still there,.. Glenn Benson. Ill bet your dad knows them. My father owned the small corner store in the old original shopping center,.. near the post office. He sold it to Ron Freake in about 81 and left.

We are damn near related,... ask Bern and Olive who Ronnie and Fran are,... im their oldest son. I was there when Chris was born! I drank a lot of beer with Bern and his brother Junior... ! They are related to me.

No,... but I think Bern may have a cabin... ? I spent a lot of time with them when I was there... and I was the best man for Glenn Benson when he married Liz. I was barely 19 yrs old. . Maybe 20. Glenn was an electrician,... now that I think about it,.. Bern may have been a welder. Its been a while. I was at Berns brothers wedding,.. Junior. He was married in Lab City.

I spend every holiday and summer vacation with the Strattons. They were best friends of my Dads brother. As a matter of fact, I believe Liz may be my Daf's wife of 10 years.
