Yeah... Came home from church, wife unloads everything from the car into the counters, giant leather bound Bible gets distributed onto the edge of the stove due lack of counter space. Son turns on oven to cook pizza and turns wrong knob and puts aforementioned near burner on high. Moments later smoke and flames. I put it out and the house stinks but everyone is OK and no other casualties. Very thankful!

I don't think so, but to make it one I think it would have to be with malicious intent. Just like flag burning is illegal, but ceremonial burning to dispose of damaged flags is perfectly OK. It's all about context.
