No way, ice is harder to scrape off and drive on. I especially hate that layer of ice on the mirrors, so hard to get at.

True, but I live down south, and weather is the least of our worries.

start your car and let the wind shield warm up then just push snow and ice off

Or, just boil a big pot of water and throw that boiling water on your ice covered windshield. You'll never have to worry about that particular windshield again!
