I will freely admit fairy folklore is not my fortre, nor do I intend it to be. I was simply going by the only 'real world' fairy I have ever had first hand experience in receiving gifts 'from'. That being the Tooth Fairy which required an exchange, namely a tooth for an undisclosed sum of money. Which in itself could well buy a doughnut should that be the whim of the recipient. Yet I dare say, a world where diminutive human formed mythical beings, distributed freshly baked doughnuts throughout to those of just cause, for little or no compensation, could indeed be a magnificently enchanting and delectable world to be in, it is also something I would personally believe to be, as you have questioned, a little bit too much to actually ask for with any realistic expectation of delivery.
