Yeah, on my front page meme and my other one I published that got 1K last week, I had the same person post "repost! (link)"

It makes no sense to me that people talk about reposts as if it's somehow a bad thing.

One of the main points of making memes is to get the idea or joke disseminated around the internet, and reposting memes you like is part of how that happens.

I think in most cases, people who whine about reposts just want attention.

Reposts are like old videogames that have lost their appeal.

I agree with you. With all the users, to include from Canada, the UK etc.. it only makes sense that there will be repost that are at least similar. Some will be intentional for sure.. others by accident. I had someone send me a meme via eml one time, that I had actually created. . And he picked it up on another site,.. so I'm guessing there are copycats as well. ;)

I don't have any problem whatsoever with an unintentional repost. If you think of something clever, post it.
But I get irked when a meme shows up on the front page, and I've already seen it half a dozen times before.
Here's an example:

I agree,.. I don't know why some repost make front page again. I have seen some really clever stuff ( seems original) that I think are great,.. but go no where. I think there is a popularity factor to a degree,.. it would only be human nature. Making LOTS of comments will generate points an familiarity,... its natural.
