This is an off duty israeli soldier according to google. They carry their weapons everywhere, and that is a double mag clip that allows you to carry a backup mag on the weapon ready to go, it is very much real
I keep only seeing one magazine. Kinda looks more like a device to keep the magazine ready while still keeping it condition 4. Israeli military... I do admit them. Here, off duty military is not allowed to even have their weapon because 'it might constitute military being construed as a police force for US civilians which is specifically prohibited by law'. Even on duty they aren't allowed to have it unless they are an MP on duty or personnel posted as a guard.
