Actually, if someone traveled back and stopped a crisis, you wouldn't have known it happened.

Since the Earth is rotating and traveling around the Sun, and our Solar System is spiraling around the Milky Way whick in turn is shooting across the known Universe... Sending anyone back in 'Time' would allow them to appear anywhere the planet WAS at that point in time, but that past point on the Earth would be long gone.

I actually don't care about my phone... lol
