But the legs need to come from a healthy chicken that can lay 2 or 3 healthy eggs a day. You can only get one pair of legs off of each chicken...

OK, first of all, I'm only joking, not serious, but a chicken could live without its legs, correct? You'd have a bunch of Lt Dan amputee chickens laying eggs while their legs have been sold off for meat.
