I may not understand computers and advertising completely, but more memes per user, I got that! That's a brilliant idea you have there!! Bravo!! :)

ok, as you read this look to the right ---> and you will see a big empty space. it is being proposed to fill that space with advertising. this would increase the revenue of the site and allows it developers to invest in better servers, which would create more storage for the website/it's users.

from my experience, people won't always make the best investment and a higher profit is more appealing in the short term than a better service.

the issue with advertising is that it is extra data being transferred from imgflip to your browsing device. this causes concern for those who have to be careful with their data allowance, it means a longer page load time as you receive the extra data so viewing the website will become a slower process and dodgy marketing companies are known for letting 3rd party info gathering virus crap to get onto your computer.

Ooh, ok, well, I said to begin with I don't know much about it, I'd like more than 2 submissions a day! Lol I understand what your saying and that's a great point. Maybe that's why old saying is so old and true! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Thank you for explaining it to me in the way you did, computer stuff often goes right over my head. I just know that I like making memes a lot!! :)
