tantrum -a hissy fit is an emotional outburst

it does not have to be a child

tantrum- an uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration, typically in a young child.
they both mean practically the same thing

i still dont get the difference, but i will pretend like i get it if it makes you happy :)
