Or.. "people who say bible is fiction, use that excuse to justify their own lifestyle"... or,.. "fear the consequences of their choices".. hmmmm.. just a few ideas. The msg is there man... you have the idea.. and I get it. Wording it in a way where other readers "get it" is a challenge sometimes.

I think the main thing I'm trying to get across is that they don't have any actual reason, to say it's fiction. It's just their way of not dealing with its claims.

Thanks for the upvote! I upvoted yours too, even though it makes a false claim about the Bible.

Here's another try, but I'm not fully satisfied with it either yet. Maybe I should just submit it how I originally posted it lol.

Maybe.. "if your not afraid to state the bible is fiction. . Don't be afraid to read it first." It could change your mind".. but that's none of my business.

I like it ! I hope it generates mega hits.it has a positive message with depth.. that hopefully even non-believers will at least consider.

I don't expect that it would! If people dismiss the Bible out of hand without reason, it's not likely they'll pay attention to a meme. But it's good to hope, I guess.

I got 36 views and 1 dislike. . No likes. Go figure. The libs must be the early views. Do you ever read the Drudgereport? There is a story on there today about a child jihadist.. i thought that was a good msg to get out there too.. Islam exploiting children.

I haven't heard of that...

I posted this one,.. but some athiest hater gave it a dislike so it never went anywhere. I may have screwed up the intended message?

I thought it was clear. It's pretty clear that there's no reasonable way to account for creation without a Creator, so even alternate theories, no matter how wacky they are, will start to head in that direction when you push them far enough back.

Check drudgereport.com,.. it's good for ideas on current events and issues.

Thanks for the recommendation. By the way, my Kermit meme got downvoted and taken off featured, but I came up with another one lol.

What other kinds of memes/topics do you think it's good for Christians to do? I'd like to see more Christian-type memes but it would probably be good to have a variety of different ones. What suggestions would you have (if you don't mind me asking)?
0 ups, 10y,

Are you going to submit some of these too (the ideas)?
0 ups, 10y
Damn.. i was sending a reply and my phone messed up.. lost the msg. I'll try again.. i don't mind sharing ideas for a good meme that resonated and makes someone think. i was haggling with an idea on premarital sex. . Promiscuity vs Christian type dating. I don't think young women realize that when a guy is ready to really settle down.. he's not looking for the girl that was popular in high school because she was "easy". Reputations Follow People. . And having Christian valued in any relationship has more pros than cons. I didn't want to do a meme that was "judgemental".. but rather make someone think about their relationship choices.

I was going to post one more.. the one I just sent you.. then give it a break so we don't bump on each other. It was good to see others were encouraged. It seems some christians don't want to risk a meme on the haters and their ideas not getting out there.

Your comment just gave me another idea...

Thanks for looking at my meme. Over and over again, i get comments that snopes says.... as if it's the final, ultimate authority on facts. Rather than do research into other sources.. they make "snopes" the go-to ultimate source of info.  its just a mom-and-pop operation that was started by two people who have absolutely no formal background or experience in investigative research. The
Mikkelsons (from San Fernando) are FAR from unbiased and neutral. Most peeps doing research look at multiple sources.. but for some reason, snopes has become the only source of info for many comments. I'm not saying it's not all inaccurate. . But damn.. how can peeps make it their only source?
0 ups, 10y
Snopes seems pretty reliable overall. But thanks for the heads-up and the encouragement to check with other sources. And you're right - no web site should be the "be all and end all."

I've made a few anti-jihad/islam memes.. they get flagged. I had one with over 500 views and a bucket of likes.. IMGFLIP pulled it.

The scientific facts in the bible have been proven wrong (Flat earth, sun/planets orbitting earth, glass dome above planet holding water, etc) But that doesnt discount the fact that there may be a god. Im personally agnostic because i am open to the idea of a God, but i dont follow any religion.

I'm curious about what made you think that the Bible teaches a flat earth, sun/planets orbiting earth, and a glass dome above planet holding water. I think somebody has told you the wrong thing.

The sun thing, ive just checked genesis and i was a little misinformed. as for the dome Genesis 1:6-8 says that there is a dome that separates the sea above from the sea below, God called it "the Sky" as for the flat earth, it is very hard to put a dome on (so that the done covers the whole surface, that is) anything but a flat plain. So, yeah, im not saying that it shoots down christianity, but it definitely makes me curious as to why this was thought, because i think people have known about a globular earth for a long time

Thanks for checking it out. However, I'm still not clear why you thought the passage in Genesis 1:6-8 was referring to a "glass dome."

I admit it's difficult to understand exactly what they're saying referring to the sky as separating waters below it from waters above it. One possibility is that they are talking about the sky as an expanse between the seas, and a canopy of clouds, but I am not sure about that.

Huh, yeah, i just re-read it, the way im seeing it is like a thin dome that seperates the sky ocean from the breathable air anf earth oceans, but that was before abd idea what space was, so who knows. It could be just like how if you were to tell 2 people, 1 from China and 1 from Canada to draw a fish, it would look very different because of culture. The Bible can be interpreted many ways
0 ups, 10y
It's really easy to make the claim that the Bible contradicts scientific facts. Your comment asserts that, and tekbarrier's comment in this thread makes a similar assertion.

However, the Bible has been around along time, which has given opponents and critics of it plenty of opportunity to try and discredit it by showing where it contradicts observed facts.

To my knowledge, there is not a single example of the Bible contradicting a scientific fact that has ever been established.

I try to be polite :)
Yeah, i would probably join a religion, but i dont like the idea of joining a faith and changing my own opinion to conform to the religion or ignore some parts of the religion to cater to my personal beleif. The way i see my life is that I am just one in billions of people and whatever i can do to help others while i am alive, i will do. I dont like the idea of having a God dictating me, following his rules whether i see it reasonable or not, but i wont go out hating on those who do.

This seems like an honest answer. And it strikes me as the heart of the issue.

But if God is real, it would be reasonable for him to have the authority to dictate whatever he wants, about all of us.

If religions are just human inventions, then of course, resisting being dictated to by others' opinions would be understandable to some degree.

But if God is real, who would dare to resist what he dictates?

But thats what bothers me about it. If God was real and he had specific rules for us to follow, why did he give us free will, if we disobey him we are subjected to eternal torture in hell. Most rules are fine, but some bother me. It is scientifically proven that people are born gay, women get it from their fathers and vice versa. Even wild animals have been shown to engage in homosexual activities, and yet, God creates gays and unless they repress urges they were born with, Hell. It all just seems harsh, its scare tactics. Thats why im waiting for proof before i join any religion, because for all we know, the true religion could be Buddism, Hinduism, Atheism, Islam, Christianity, I dont want my morals to be bent into something that i dont agree with until i know that i have to do it
0 ups, 10y
God has given us all the proof we need by sending his Son Christ to earth to reveal his character and nature, and his love in offering free forgiveness to sinful people.

He has also made sure that everything we need to know about him is set down in a book.

There is not going to be any proof higher than Christ himself, or the Bible. If those don't sway you I don't see how anything else would sway you. I don't have a reason better than those.
