It's great that they recognize Jesus is important, but there's a bit of a difference between what Islam claims about Jesus and what Christianity does.

Yes, a huge difference. Muslims acknowledge Jesus as a prophet, but deny that Jesus is God in the flesh. Therefore, their view of him represents an unrecognizable distortion of his message.
