Koalas only eat kangaroo meat. Despite their cute exterior, koalas are aggressive carnivores and troops of koalas can bring down a kangaroo with amazing speed.
The koalas will stay in a clump of trees until the kangaroos come close and then as they are under the trees the koalas signal each other ultrasonically which kangaroo they will attack.
The koalas jump in unison on the kangaroo and quickly disable it so they can enjoy the meat.
