I had this argument about ball pain versus pregnancy about a month ago at work, and I was told the very same thing by several women about kidney stones...I've had my gall bladder removed and I went to the emergency room twice in the week before the surgery....morphine did nothing for THAT pain, so I would agree with your wife...
