Oh, this is for Britain. We have level 1c-8a here, every level has a 'c', 'b' and 'a' part, 8a being the highest. This is for Year 1 (First Grade) to Year 8 (Seventh Grade or so). Then for GCSE, we have 1-9, no As, Bs, or Cs bits, 9 being highest equal to an A**. (Yeah).
8=A*
7=A
6=B
5/4=C
3=D
2=E
1=F
There you go, didn't take me long to explain.
