So if aliens 65 million light years away are watching at this very moment what our planet used to be, and if they kept watching Earth up to the point of their arrival, they could in theory tell Earthlings (65 million years from now-- unless, of course, they can travel faster than light) Earth's entire history from the point of the extinction of the dinosaurs up to their present day (65 million years from now, tops).
