I don't like how people online have reacted to the Kim Davis situation either, but I think it's just a funny meme template, at this point.

If it were someone like Hilary I'd agree, but Kim Davis is having her personal life brought into all this and that's messed up. The people of that county sort of have the right to know about her history and character, but not the whole world.

The meme is also not accurate as she has more duties as a county clerk than issuing marriage licenses. So saying constantly that she isn't doing her job is false. Political memes are only funny when they're accurate. :l

Good points. Yeah I don't like how people are taking exception to Kim Davis' decisions, when they don't fully understand the basis of why she did what she did.

Also, in addition to your point about there being other parts of her job, there's also the issue of whether we want people in jobs that are just unfeeling robots who just do the job no matter what? If something is wrong to do - like for example, if your job was requiring you to hurt a child or something that everyone acknowledges to be wrong - would you really wants somebody who "just did their job" no matter what? I say no. I say we do our jobs as people with a mind, and a conscience, and morals.

I don't think people are actually upset at Kim Davis that she didn't do her job. I think there just jumping on the "everyone who doesn't fawn over gays getting married must be a horrible homophobe and therefore it's okay to make fun of them" bandwagon.

I totally agree with you on that. There;s also the fact that the SC(Judicial Branch) can't make laws or define marriage. The Legislative Branch is responsible for that and there hasn't been an actual law passed for same sex marriage. So it's a null and void judgement to begin with and anyone who enforces it is breaking their oath and is supposed to be removed from office. :l

So technically people are making fun of the exact wrong person. They should be making fun of everyone going along with the illegal ruling, because they're the ones really not doing their jobs properly.

Yeah we need a meme of the supreme court that says they're not doing their jobs. :l
