Good points. Yeah I don't like how people are taking exception to Kim Davis' decisions, when they don't fully understand the basis of why she did what she did.
Also, in addition to your point about there being other parts of her job, there's also the issue of whether we want people in jobs that are just unfeeling robots who just do the job no matter what? If something is wrong to do - like for example, if your job was requiring you to hurt a child or something that everyone acknowledges to be wrong - would you really wants somebody who "just did their job" no matter what? I say no. I say we do our jobs as people with a mind, and a conscience, and morals.
I don't think people are actually upset at Kim Davis that she didn't do her job. I think there just jumping on the "everyone who doesn't fawn over gays getting married must be a horrible homophobe and therefore it's okay to make fun of them" bandwagon.
