There is a down and an up for a reason though. It's so the best memes will be at the top.
If you could only get upvoted, what would be the point? Over time you could get hundreds if not thousands of votes but it wouldn't mean anything. It could only go up.
Why not make better memes that don't mention votes or home page at all?
