Just because it's the same word doesn't mean it's the same God. The God of the Christian Bible is triune and became incarnate, the god of the Koran isn't and hasn't.

Also, if you're speaking English, you don't normally switch to Arabic for just one word, and vice versa.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam ALL believe in the God of Abraham, ALL originate with Abraham...it's is the prophets that they disagree on...Mohammad was a false prophet and twisted God's word to fit his purpose...I am a lifelong Christian and I know what the word Allah means, so I won't use the excuse of "it's not my language" to speak profanely against the name...I curse and speak profanely against the Muslim religion, and the false prophet Mohammad...I could not care less who you speak profanely of...that's your business not mine...but I don't speak spanish, and I know if I call my daddy "padre" that I am calling him "father"...

I probably would agree with you that people shouldn't speak profanely against Allah (I'm not sure what you mean by this exactly).

But even though it's the same word "God" in both languages it really is a different view of God that they have. You're right in what you say about origins, but neither Jews nor Muslims accept that God is triune and became incarnate, and these are fundamental aspects of the Christian view of God.

There is only one God and only one Creator. He's everyone's God in reality whether they come from an Abrahamic religion or not. But the concept that Muslims have in mind when they say the word "God" (whether in English or any other language) is incompatible with what a Christian means when they say the same word, so it's misleading to speak as if they worship the same God. They don't.

It's like the name "Mary." I might know that the word for Mary in Spanish is "Maria" and it's the same name. But that doesn't mean that a person I meet in Spain named "Maria" is the same as a person named Mary I know. (I know that's kind of a weird example because there is only one God in the world, and more than one Mary, but I'm just trying to illustrate how even if the word for something "means the same thing" that doesn't mean it's referring to the same thing in reality.)
