People will always find a way to justify their own wrongdoing while condemning others for the same thing @tetsuoswrath. It was wrong what white people did to the Native Americans. No other way to say it unless youre lying to yourself.

I urge you to read physician records from the slavery era. The conditions were so bad that most black families stories do not go back past our emancipation. Just like the Jewish Holocaust. That is 4 generations back for my family. That means that the stories stop at my great grandfather.

Concerning White Guilt... Maybe you have something to be guilty about.. Maybe if you as a group faced up to it, you wouldn't be racked with fear every time you see a person from one of the groups you subjugated.. (Witness: all of these cop and vigilante murderers defense for their actions... And, also what appears to be just in your popular culture.) To me, it seems that those that accept the guilt, are the ones that are able to move on and relate to all others like normal people.... Maybe you should try it.

You do realize we fought WARS to get America right? And that the Natives were at WAR with each other when we got here. Stop pushing white guilt. :l

History.."The Natives", were a group of small independent nation states just like Europe. Some confederated and some not..

History...What had decimated their populations prior to the Pilgrims getting here was waves of plagues that whipped through the Americas one after another from this continent's first encounter with Columbus in the Carribean.

Later.. The US army knowingly committed germ warfare against the natives even after they had already defeated them in the Trail of Tears. They gave them smallpox infested blankets as they pushed their bodies to the limits in a forced march over hundreds of miles to the wastelands of the American West.
