Mayor Lee has sent a letter to Sheriff Mirkarimi urging him to notify ICE henceforth when releasing an illegal immigrant from prison. I'm not sure at this point whether or not the Sheriff will comply. In response to the Mayor's letter, he replied that doing so may raise legal conflicts. SIGH! Poltics, as usual.
