Are you familiar with basic supply and demand? If supply goes down (say, by legislation) what happens to the volume of guns freely sold in a black market?
Law-abiding citizens who need guns will do whatever they have to to get one - BUT we HAVE to stop giving guns to literally everyone who asks for one - good guys, bad guys, law abiding, criminal background, good health, history of mental imbalance - it does not seem to matter.
