Is it really? I'm a lefty who had to learn to play right handed because "It would be cheaper that way".

A lefty guitar is not cheaper than a righty. Not by a lot, but they're definitely more expensive.

If a lefty is cheaper, it's probably on clearance because no one bought it. Lefties aren't as widely mass produced as righties, therefore they're usually more expensive.
