You do realise socialism and democracy are not mutually exclusive.

I know. The problem is some people think democracy = capitalism.

I know. They don't seem to know about post war Britain were a socialist government was elected and governed well enough to make the conservatives continue many of their policies and they become just standard. Until Magaret Thatcher who ruined the north of Britain by strangling the unions which seems undemocratic as it silences the masses and only got re-elected because of the Falklands war.
