It was already legal in 36 states there were 14 states that were already going to come around. The Supreme Court decision did not empower anybody except the Federal Government. Now, Federal powers have been grown to the point where States won't have the power to rebuff poor federal policies. Perhaps today you say, "Good! I think the laws were unfair and they should be all the same across the country." but when the federal government makes a big play for water rights (already happening) and the only way to get water is from a big corporation, you may understand why federal overreach is never a good idea in ANY situation. Many people own land with well water (FREE) when water rights are wrangled from the American people, they will be, literally, more thirsty for individual freedom.
