This is false. People hear the word socialism and they go nuts. What do you think social security is??? He wants to reinstate the Glass-Steagall act, which prevented banks from creating huge economic chaos. It is easy be scared just because of the word socialism. He does not want the government to control you life. You know what controls your life, and invades your privacy? The Patriot Act (Bernie wants to fix this). Inform yourself, then give an educated opinion.

Rand Paul is to introduce legislation that would ban the Federal Reserve (Fed), and all of its personnel, from lobbying Congress and the American people against legislation to bring transparency to the Fed or other matters. The legislation, known as the Bring Accountability Now to the Fed Act, prohibits anyone acting on behalf of the Fed from actively supporting or opposing legislation before Congress.

So, before you begin to talk about Bernie why not ask him why he opposes auditing the Fed. The Federal Reserve is a big reason why we have the problems we are facing.
