Unless the flag represents bad behaviour ... then what?

How exactly does that flag represent bad behavior?

I meant in general. However, this one was born out of a rebellion against the Union, based largely on the economics of slavery, after all. Had the South not insisted upon pursuing that policy, this flag wouldn't exist. I think that qualifies as "bad behaviour, no?"

We can argue this all day bro, the bottom line is this infringes on our first amendment right or free speech and free expression. Everything this country has stood for is in jeopardy thanks to the media and a few people getting their feelings hurt.

Maybe so, maybe so. But then again, maybe Americans ought to think a little bit more about what values they want their speech to represent, instead of just blurting out whatever disgusting idea pops into their minds.

No one is infringing on your first amendment right to anything.

Which flags would be on that list?

But no one is banning any flag. So, you know, there's that.

Okay, "eradicate"? You know darn well what the gist of it is.

No, I don't. Look, there's a world of difference between banning something and a. petitioning the government not to use it, which is our first amendment right, and b. trying to persuade people that there's a good argument to be made for declining to fly the flag that was created as an enemy of the United States of America. When you accuse us of trying to "ban" the confederate flag, you LIE. Own it. Because no one's trying to ban anything.

Walmart, amazon and others have pulled the confederate flag from their stores nationwide. Call it whatever you want, but theyre making it considerably harder to get your hands on that particular flag. Keeping people from purchasing something sounds like a ban to me, whether the government initiates it or the multibillion dollar companies do

No. Deciding not to sell something because you don't like the message it sends is called FREEDOM. No one is stopping anyone else from buying or selling it. Why do you want to force retailers to sell items they don't want to sell?

It's just hypocritical because there are all sorts of flags that you can still buy that represent all sorts of good and evil. Why draw the line at the confederate flag

Beyond the scope of the meme and my comment. Let's agree to let it go there, with you getting the last word. K?

It is a symbol of oppression for a lot of people. It's not illegal to own one. People are choosing not to sell it, display it etc.
