You didn't say it, you assumed it. The whole thing is supposed to be all paradoxical but it's only like that because you assume that what the statements say has to be true. Then we think "Aaaaah, that's so crazy! Which one is true! How can it be true but false at the same time? How does it work??" But if you realize that the base logic just doesn't makes sense, then it's not a mind-blower anymore. It's just two random sentences. You see what I mean?
