Their names were Markos (Greek), Mattithyahu (Hebrew), Leukos (Greek) and Y'hochanan (Hebrew). The others were Ya'aqov = James, Bar-Tôlmay = Bartholomew, Judah = Jude, Yehuda = Judas Iscariot, Cephas = Peter, Tau'ma = Thomas, Andrew = Andrew and Phillip = Phillip. They were chosen by Yeshua = Jesus.

That would be because the English Bible is in English. Listen, if I write a book in Spanish and call my main characters "Esteban" and "María," and my book gets translated into English, my main characters' names are likely going to be translated as "Steven" and "Mary." The same goes for the Bible, "Jesus" is English for the Hebrew name "Yeshua."

So why don't they do it with the other non English names in the bible. Anyway, Jesus isn't an English name so why translate it from the alleged foreign original name to another foreign name? That makes absolutely no sense at all, why not just translate "Yeshua" to "John"? I think you're just looking for excuses now.
