It's actually the first time ball manipulation (yeah, yeah) has been punished at all, despite numerous public confessions of illegal deflation (and overinflation) by current and former players and the league issuing a warning to the Vikings and Panthers the same season about heating the footballs during the game.

Tom Brady can buy all the drugs he wants. But he chooses to inhale air from a football instead.
