I think it's the ugly way the phone camera is made? Why I bought a Canon Powershot so I can actually record QUALITY video.

Indeed. There's some "new" apps for that, but people insist in record live events and so on, post them on youtube vertically and, of course, you can't see nothing but sky, ground and some cropped action/music or whatever in the middle lol
