And I know someone that was pulled over for the same, because the cop was called off due to another unit arriving at the destination of the car they were following and calling code 4 (All clear). A ticket was issued for wreckless driving, unsafe lane change, and excessive speed. Not awesome for her! It's all in the roll of the dice.

Years ago someone told me a little secret about when cops are on a call (sirens on, lights flashing) they are committed to that call. So you can get behind them (not too close !) and follow them while everybody else is pulling over (like having a police escort !) One day I was late for work and it just so happened a cop car was speeding by everyone with lights and sirens, so I tested his theory and ir worked. Took the next exit to work and no problem. Awesome !
