That made no sense but... I am sure if a white guy, shot a man and left him in the elevator because he felt threatened, they would say he is mentally insane. If he was Ray Rice he'd be the biggest piece of shit on earth and in prison for life. And that is the truth from a white boy.

What did race have to do with it anyway? People who live in the spotlight should be held to higher standards regardless of race.

They are human too. We all make mistakes. If we all do the same shit, we all should be humiliated by the news.

When people are in a position of which the public idolize and/or try to emulate them they should be held to a higher standard. The lack of total accountability with those in a position to model healthy behaviors lead to repeated actions by others. People do make mistakes but that in itself should not be a justification for equal leniency. I would expect the same ramifications if I were in that position. On another note, they are not on the same level as the general public as they make so much money as a result of those they model for idolizing them.

There is a song by Eminem called "Don't Approach Me" at the end he says "When I'm not behind a mic, I'm a person that's just like you." We are all human, we all make money, the amount of money someone makes doesn't give anyone the right to be in their personal business. They earned what they have, like everyone else has made a choice to earn what they have.

Try using the "we're all human" line while defending the actions of the cop that shot the black kid in Ferguson!
It takes nothing less than a real pussy to knock his girlfriend out. If it were my sister, daughter, wife, or mother Ray Rice knocked out I would not accept the "we're all human, we all make mistakes" as a justification for an easier consequence.

I never said he was wrong for what he did. Let him and his wife fix their own lives out of the public eye. No man should ever hit a woman and no woman should ever hit a man. I was just proving a point. When you hear about domestic abuse, it doesn't get pulled through media, the person is punished and it's over. With him being who he is, his life will always be media. I have forgave all the bad things that have happen to me. I don't forget them. But I have forgave everyone that has done me wrong. Grudges solve nothing.

I agree that the media shouldn't be blowing up the whole thing.

Believing that people who live in the publics eye should be held to a higher standard as they are idolized and emulated by others does not constitute a grudge. I suppose that most of the negative things that go on these days are products of self-centeredness, and just because I disagree with them it will not change anything. As I sit here responding in this fashion I have to accept it is my own self-centeredness that lends to my attempting to sway your, or others, opinions. I am grateful to hear the perspective of others. Thanks for the expression of your opinion.

You're not wrong at all. It's just sad that people, get their selves caught up in media so much, they lose focus of their own lives and live in the drama of others. As for the white cop that shot the african american was wrong. But in that aspect their is a lot of things being covered up in that case and so much hate and violence. More violence doesn't solve anything.
