Umm...hmm...well ALS research was seriously underfunded prior to the bucket challenge and it is more common than one would think with no adequate treatments. Leukemia is a serious disease and indeed does need research funding but in all honesty, quite a bit more money is donated to leukemia research than to ALS research.
