I'm agnostic too, but perhaps there's no " i suffered more than you". I had to go through chemo and have permanently damaged vision and hearing at 12, and that's pretty bad

No. But if he's all loving, wouldn't it be incredibly cruel to say "ok, do your own thing and face a infinite punishment for a finite life"

You're forgetting that a just punishment should be dealt depending on who you sinned against. For example, it would be a lot worse to murder an innocent child than a criminal. So because we have sinned against an infinitely innocent and good being, God, that crime is therefore infinitely unjust and requires an infinite punishment.

I based that idea off James, idk it might have been 2:10, but is basically says that if you stumble at one part of the law, you have broken all of it. By that, its saying that if you screw up once on a minor thing, its no different than, say, a serial killer

That is talking about how the law is one whole and not a bunch of individual rules. In other words, if you break one of the laws (individual) you have still violated the law (whole)
