Windscale is a UK Nuclear powerstation

That was an awful time (to say the least!). I have sort of interest in documentaries about nuclear disasters and other smaller radioactive incidents. This was definitely one of the worst.

I think you're mixing it up with somewhere else 🤔

There was a big fire at a nuclear power station called Windscale in 1957. It was the worst nuclear disaster in the UK’s history. Wikipedia said that it had a disaster rating of 5 out of 7. The one that you linked to might be a different station with the same name. I’ll have to check it out.

I liked it! I’ve seen a ton of Chernobyl documentaries over the years. That was insane. “The Elephant’s Foot” and the liquidators and the gigantic concrete sarcophagus over the disaster site.
The Mayak disaster of 1957 was pretty bad as well. It was a 6 out of 7.
