I hate this argument. You don't need to do it yourself to criticize it. Can you say a movie is bad when you don't make movies yourself? People say movies, songs, shows, books, and games are good or bad all the time and they don't make them. Yeah, it takes effort but so does everything you hate. Even skibidi toilet took effort to make and you know how that went. I don't like anime because I think it's overdramatic, all the characters have INCREDIBLY annoying voices, they scream too much, and they recycle the same overused, mid tropes over and over again. Can I make it myself? No, but I can give constructive criticism to someone who can. People say newer Disney movies are trash all the time and yet we can't make movies ourselves, but we can tell the ones who can how they can do better.

It's just that every time someone says the dislike or hate anime I take it as a personal insult for me being a fan of it. And they don't all sound the same, they have similar voice actors, and sometimes the same voice actors. And the stories from the animes and mangas are brilliantly designed to make you feel things, and it works. Anime will always have a special place in my heart.
